I was most intrigued at my arrival here on the internet in 1995 by the potential for almost instantanious communication with any other person in the world.

Often in my imaginations I have likened this situation to the medieval ponderings of theological philosphers wondering how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

For many years I was quite active in various internet chat rooms. Yet; I also realised a few people staying up late nights in a virtual chat room was not likely to bring change the 'real' world to any signifignate degree and that I was going to need a much larger soapbox.
